Details: The most effective way to control flies around horses is to stop them at the source before they become adult flies. Left untreated, manure from a single horse can produce thousands of flies in one day. Farnam SimpliFly Feed-Through Fly Control is a palatable alfalfa-based pellet designed with Larvastop, containing the fly growth regulator Dimilin, to provide fly control for horses by interrupting the fly life cycle where flies breed. The active ingredient diflubenzuron passes through the horse and deposits in manure, preventing larvae from developing. SimpliFly works in manure rather than on the horse to provide barn fly control and stable fly reduction without sprays, wipes, or topical treatments. Safe for daily use in all horse breeds and formulated without organophosphates, SimpliFly Feed Thru Fly Control mixes easily into your horse’s regular feed for equine management and insect control. For best results, begin incorporating this equine feed supplement in the early spring before flies appear and continue through warm weather to support consistent fly control in barns, stalls, paddocks, and pastures. For complete management, combine feed-through fly control with topical fly sprays, fly masks, fly traps, and other barn fly control methods to help protect horses throughout fly season.
